I have arranged a friendly on 6th October 2007 which will be our final friendly game before before the Gillette Cup itself starts. I have picked only a squad of 14 for this game - don't worry if you are not included as you will be involved at a future stage. The draw for the group stage was made on the 1st of October. We have been drawn in the following group of 4: -----------
Cheshire Birmingham Merseyside Manchester ----------
I will be contacting the managers of the 3 other sides in our group shortly to arrange fixtures.
The top team from the group will go through to the knock-out stage and the 2nd placed team will go into a play-off with a 2nd placed team from another group. The winner of the resulting play-off will then go through to the knock-out stage.
I have also learnt that White Hart Lane will be the venue for the Final, whilst their is a possibility Meadow Lane (Notts County) will be used for the Semi-finals.
