October 23rd - 25th 2009 saw 10 young people aged 15 - 21 come together at Earlswood Log Cabin and Campsite for OCN-accredted LEadership Training. Over the course of the weekend they took part in a wide variety of theory and practical sessions. As well as on-site activities, they also spent time at the Ackers Adventure Centre. Leadership Training provides an ideal opportunity for young people to develop their leadership skills, as well as providing a good transition from youth group member to leader. We have already recieved some very positive feedback, especially regarding increased confidence and also level of engagement with young people back at club level. We hope to be running more leadership training next Spring so get in touch if you feel you have any young people that would benefit from this.
