CENTRAL ENGLAND 5-A-SIDE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS 14TH NOVEMBER 2009, DERBY A record-breaking showing from the Birmingham clubs, winning 3 out of the 4 age groups!!! Results were as follows: Under 12s Birmingham clubs dominated the Under 12 category, sweeping all aside as they claimed both the winners and runners-up spots! Team United - winners! St Martins Youth - runners-up! Under 14s Sport 4 Life went through the whole day without even losing a game to claim a fairly comfortable overall win! Sutton town were unlucky to be drawn against them in the semi-finals, otherwise we could have had another Birmingham one-two. Sport 4 Life - winners! Sutton Town - lost in semi-finals Under 16s Lift bounced back from losing their first game to go on a winning run that took them all the way to the semi-finals, only t lose to the eventual winners. Lift Community Trust - lost in semi-finals Kings Norton Positive Futures - group stage Under 19s A fantastic win from KNPF, showing good consistency throughout to finish top of the Under 19s league. Kings Norton Positive Futures - winners The 3 winners and St Martins will now go on to play in the National Finals in Manchester on Saturday 5th December 2009 |
