The weekend residential experience was held over the weekend of Saturday 19^th and Sunday 20^th June at The Bilberry Hill Centre. We had 2 groups pull out at the last minute which meant that numbers were down on last year and was a little frustrating as we had a waiting list for the event but it was too short notice for any on the list to take up the places. It may well be that next year we will look at taking a non-refundable deposit from groups as an assurance they will attend. This year the activities were provided by Bear Creek Adventure and on the whole the feedback was very positive. 25 Young people and 7 leaders from ER Mason Youth Centre, The Stonehouse Gang and Nechells Green Boxing Club took part in Archery, Mountain Biking, Climbing, Kayaking, Canoeing and Windsurfing across 2 days on the Lickey Hills and at Edgbaston Reservoir. The weather was excellent which always makes a big difference and the activities were suitably challenging which meant a lot of the youngsters achieved beyond their expectations. The winning team was The Stonehouse Gang and the winning individual prize went to Darius Williams of the ER Mason Youth Centre.
